As most have probably noted by now, the food truck scene has exploded in Atlanta and there is literally an event almost every day during lunch and dinner…that’s pretty incredible considering most people didn’t even know what food trucks were (beyond a roach truck) less than a year ago! I finally made it out to the Thursday event at the newly renovated Buckhead Theatre (formerly The Roxy) and couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s in a great location (the parking lot next to the theatre), the parking is free, and you can eat in the comfort of air conditioning and drink beer…yes beer…and they have a full liquor bar for all you winos !!!

The parking lot next the Buckhead theatre is a great location; close to the intersection of West Paces Ferry, Peachtree Rd and Roswell Rd. If you have not been to see a show there, it is a must visit; great acoustics and the renovation is truly beautiful!

This was by far my favorite food truck location due to the parking, variety, air conditioning and adult beverage options. Go check it out next Thursday, or make a night out of it and go ahead of a show and do some tailgating food truck style!

It was during the Summer, but it is not going on currently; however there are tons of food truck events everyweek. Check out the Atlanta Street Food Coalition website or Roaming Hunger to find out about current locations.
